iPad magazines and books will be available on April 3. I'm still seeing work and formatting on Amazon Kindle magazines and other black and white eReading devices. I'm optimistic that the Knidle, nook, and Sony eReader will amaze us with a color capable device and will actually let periodical publishers easily format content soon after the iPad is launched. It's clear to me that if they don't, they will not have a chance to recover market share needed to sustain growth. The documentation and publisher support programs have not been sufficient to help magazine publishers format content for these devices and maintain the graphic communications necessary support their brands.
